Triglav Regional Water Polo League - Jug Meets HAVK Mladost in the Final

The tenth edition of the Regional League will be played in Dubrovnik, where the old Croatian derby between Jug CO and Zagreb Mladost will take place once again. Jug Croatia Osiguranje will defend the title of the champion of the Regional League on Saturday night at 20.00 against Zagreb Mladost.

For the first time, since this year, we can also watch the women’s duels in the Regional League. On Saturday, April 14, at 18:00, two women’s clubs, which won the finals through preliminary tournaments, will jump into the pool in Gruž. These are ŽAVK Mladost and Crvena Zvezda. This finale will be broadcast on television, which is yet another step in the popularization of women’s water polo in Croatia. We talked about this topic with Perica Bukić — check out the interview!

Match Reports (Semi-finals)

HAVK Mladost v Jadran Carina 14-12 (penalty shoot-out)

HAVK Mladost is the first finalist of the final tournament of the Regional League, which is played on Friday and Saturday at the pool in Gruž. The “Froglings” won against Jadran Carina Herceg Novi with 14:12 (2:4, 1:2, 3:1 , 4:3 – (4:2)).

In an interesting game with a dramatic finale, Jadran Carina had four points of advantage, but Mladost managed to catch them and eventually celebrate the passage to the finals.

Jug CO v Jadran 11:7

Jadran had a good game against Jug, but in the end, Jug had beaten Split’s team 11:7 (4:1, 3:1, 3:3, 1:2).

Jug went all in from the first minute and scored 4 goals in the first six minutes, while Jadran could not compete with them at the end of the match. In the third quarter, Jug managed to have a five goals difference.
