Panathinaikos has signed a contract with American goalkeeper Adrian Weinberg.
This is a significant addition for Panathinaikos, as Weinberg (24) was the starting goalkeeper for the USA in the 2024 Olympic Games, where the American team earned a bronze medal. He was also named the best goalkeeper of the tournament, making the most saves.
During his time in the United States, Weinberg played for the Pride Water Polo Academy, Oaks Christian School, and the California Golden Bears. His first European club was the Greek team NO Chios, from which he joined Panathinaikos.
He won three titles in the USA College National Championships (NCAA), playing for the Golden Bears.
