A 33-year-old Serbian goalkeeper, Dimitrije Risticevic, joined Primorac Kotor.
Risticevic was born in Obrenovac, a small town near Belgrade. He began his water polo career at a local club, TENT. After leaving TENT, he played for both the junior and senior teams of Partizan, where he also served as captain for a few seasons. Throughout his career, Risticevic wore red caps of several clubs, including Catania, Marseille, and Novi Beograd. In the previous two seasons, he played for Panathinaikos.
Risticevic won gold with Serbia at the 2014 World Cup and bronze in the same competition four years later. He participated in the 2019 World Championships, the 2022 European Championships, and the 2022 World League Super Final.
Risticevic is Primorac’s second signing this summer, after Stefan Vidovic, and will replace Italian goalkeeper Massaro, who returned to his homeland and signed for Telimar.
The Kotor-based club is looking for a new coach. Primorac announced that Vjekoslav Paskovic would no longer lead the team and wished him luck in his future career. Paskovic coached Primorac for two seasons.
