Croatian coach Elvis Fatovic will guide Olympiacos starting next season, the club announced today.
 The 54-year-old coach joins the Greek team after four successful seasons with Barceloneta (2021-2025), where he clinched four Spanish League titles, four Spanish Cups, four Super Cups, and two bronze medals in the Champions League.
Before Barceloneta, Fatovic coached Jug Dubrovnik from 2008 to 2011 and was the head coach of the national team of Australia from 2013 to 2021. He also served as an assistant coach for the Croatian national team from 2005 to 2012.
During his tenure with Jug, Fatovic won three Croatian Championships, one national Cup, and one Regional League trophy. He is considered one of the most respected coaches in the sport, having led Australia to a silver medal at the 2018 World Cup and a bronze at the 2019 World League. Under his guidance, the Australian team also competed in the 2016 and 2021 Olympic Games.
As a player, Fatovic was instrumental for Jug in the Dubrovnik team's victories in the Champions League, claiming titles in 2001 and 2006. He also played for Mladost, winning the Croatian League with both clubs.
He was a member of the junior team of Yugoslavia and the Croatian senior national team. He became the silver medalist at the 2003 European Championships with Croatia, while he won gold medals at the junior World and European Championships representing Yugoslavia.
Fatovic's fellow countryman, Hrvoje Koljanin, coached Olympiacos from 2023 until the middle of the season 2024/25. Then, the Greek club and the Croatian coach parted ways. Until tte end of the season, Georgos Doskas temporarily led the Piraeus-based team from the bench.
