European champion Ferencvaros presented its team for the 2025/26 season.
As expected, there haven’t been many changes to the roster. Only two new players have joined the club, which has dominated the Champions League and the Hungarian competitions over the past two seasons.
Marton Levai, 33, the goalkeeper for the Hungarian national team that won the 2023 World Championships, has arrived from Vasas. Levai played for Vasas for two seasons and was previously a member of OSC Budapest, Debrecen, Szolnok, Honved, and Tatabanya. The gold medal at the 2023 Worlds have been his most significant achievement with the national team, but he has also won the European silver (2022) and the bronze in the 2014 World Cup. At the club level, he has a silver medal in the Euro Cup with OSC in 2021, and the Hungarian Cup with Honved in 2010.
Bence Haverkampf, who is 19 years old, has returned to Ferencvaros after a one-year loan at Pro Recco, where he celebrated victories in the Italian Cup and the Italian League. Last year, Haverkampf clinched the winning trophy at the World U18 Championships.
Adam Nagy and Zoltan Pohl have left the club.
Zoltan Pohl has retired at the age of 30. He spent his entire career at Ferencvaros, while he reached the podium at the major competitions with Hungary thrice, winning gold medals at the 2020 European Championships and the 2023 World Championships, and a silver medal in the 2018 World League.
Adam Nagy is likely to join Marseille.
