Pro Recco continued announcing new signings.
The next confirmed addition is Rino Buric, a member of the Croatian national team, who will strengthen Recco’s defense.
Buric, 28, was born in Split and began playing water polo with the local club Mornar. After leaving Mornar, he joined the most successful Split-based water polo club, Jadran. In 2023, Buric moved from Jadran to Jug Dubrovnik. Playing for Jug, he won two Croatian Cups. He is a defender, but has a significant role in his teams' attack. During two seasons at Jug, Buric scored 134 goals in domestic and international competitions.
Since 2022, he has been a regular member of the Croatian national team, for which he made his debut several years earlier. Playing for Croatia, Buric won the silver medal at the 2024 Olympics, gold medals at the 2022 European Championships and 2024 World Championships, and silver at last year’s Europeans in Zagreb.
Buric, who was voted the best Croatian water polo player in 2023, signed a two-year contract.
