A few weeks ago, Ferencvaros announced its roster for the upcoming 2025/26 season. Among the 19 players listed was experienced center-forward Toni Nemet. However, he will not be playing for Ferencvaros next season. He has joined Croatian champion Jadran Split.
The 31-year-old player and Ferencvaros mutually agreed to terminate his contract, allowing him to accept Jadran’s offer. He played for Ferencváros for eight seasons and was part of teams that won the Champions League in 2019, 2024, and 2025, one Euro Cup (2018), three LEN Super Cups, and a number of domestic trophies.
Before joining Ferencvaros, Nemet played for KSI, Vasas, and OSC. On the international stage, he represented Hungary and won a gold medal at the 2023 World Championships, as well as a silver medal at the European Championships the previous year.
Nemet is the third player to leave Ferencvaros this summer, following Zoltan Pohl, who retired, and Adam Nagy, who moved to Marseille.
For Jadran, the new centre-forward is the second addition to the Split-based club, following Dusan Matkovic's arrival from Primorac.
