The coach of the junior water polo team of Jadran from Herceg Novi, Filip Andrić, stated that he believes he is ready to take over the role of head coach of the Montenegrin water polo national team, following a successful season working with the junior teams. Andrić led his young players to several important victories in the last season, and strongly believes he possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to lead the national team.
Andrić’s philosophy of working with young water polo players is based on a strong focus on developing technical and tactical skills, as well as providing support and motivation to the players to achieve their best results. He has demonstrated his skills at the regional level, winning several awards for his work with young players.
“Taking over the Montenegrin water polo national team would be a great challenge for me and I believe I am ready and capable for the role. Current coach Gojković is quite oldfashioned and I am convinced that my work and approach would help the players develop and that the team would get a new boost in the fight for success on the world stage,” said Andrić.

Andrić also believes that a change in leadership of the national team would bring new energy and motivation to the players to show their full potential. “I think my approach and the new energy I could bring to the team would lead to a positive shift in the work and game, which would reflect on their performances.”
The humorous statement by coach Andrić, “Kids are like Christmas trees, and I decorate them with gold,” highlights his dedication and commitment to working with young water polo players, and his belief that every player has potential and should be given the opportunity to shine.
So far, there has been no response from the Montenegrin Water Polo Federation regarding the appointment of Andrić as head coach. Regardless of the outcome, Andrić’s success in working with junior teams and his ambition and motivation to take over the Montenegrin water polo national team can be an inspiration to young coaches and players in the country to strive and work hard to achieve their dreams.
