Olympiacos Piraeus celebrated two titles last night.
The male team officially won its 34th national title, by beating Glyfada 19:5 in the last, 22nd round. But, the menโs team secured a title last week since it built an unattainable advantage ahead of the 2nd-placed Vouliagmeni.
The playoffs in the men’s championships won’t be played, while the female league was completed by the playoffs. Olympiacos and Vouliagmeni faced off in the final series (best-of-three). Olympiacos’ ladies demolished Vouliagmeni 11:4 in the first game on the home soil, and they secured the title with an 11:9 victory in the second encounter, played in Vouliagmeni’s pool.
After both games, the female and the male team gathered and came to Piraeus to celebrate the titles in front of the Olympiacos’ football stadium together with 500 fans.
