Olympiacos is just one step away from its 36th title in the Greek championships.
The Piraeus-based side defeated Vouliagmeni in the first two matches of the final (a best-of-five series). Olympiacos recorded an 8:6 victory at home and earned an 8:5 away win.

There were a few twists and turns in the first game. Olympiacos started better and won the 1st period, but Vouliagmeni took a 4:3 lead just 39 seconds before the middle break. However, Olympiacos dominated in the second half. The hosts scored four unanswered goals and went to 7:4 (30th minute). They kept Vouliagmeni goalless for more than 14 minutes. However, immediately after Olympiacos’ seventh goal, Kapotsis broke the visitors’ silence for 5:7. They came even closer after Chalyvopoulos found the net for 6:7 with 01:42 left on the clock. Eighteen seconds before the buzzer, Filip Filipovic converted a man-up for 8:6 and everything was decided.
The second match didn’t have so exciting ending. After the first half, Olympiacos led 4:3. In the third period, the red-whites netted three straight goals (Fountoulis, Filipovic, Buslje) to jump to a 7:3 lead. Vouliagmeni couldn’t recover after that. The man of the match was Ioannis Fountoulis with four goals, Andro Buslje added three.
