According to unofficial information, Alessandro Vellotto won’t renew his contract with Marseille after the end of the current season.
Sources say that Barceloneta is very interested in signing the 30-year-old Italian.
Velotto arrived at Marseille in 2023. Previously, he played for Canottieri Naples (2011–2018) and Pro Recco (2018–2023). He clinched three consecutive Champions Leagues with Pro Recco (2021, 2022, 2023), two Super Cups (2021 and 2022) and many domestic trophies. Last season, he became the French champion with Marseille.
Playing for Italy, Velotto has won an Olympic bronze medal (2016), the World Championship title (2019), and two bronze medals at the European Championships, among other trophies.
