The second clash of Olympiacos and Apollon wasn’t so exciting as the first one (12:11 for Olympiacos). Olympiacos opened the match with a 4:0 lead and maintained a 4-goal difference until the middle break (8:4). Olympiacos’ Skoumbakis scored the first goal in the third period for 9:4. But, Apollon answered with four straight goals and reduced the gap to one (8:9). The game became exciting. After Vouliagmeni recorded a convincing 14:4 win in the 1st match, few could predict that the 2nd semifinal encounter between Peristeri and Vouliagmeni would be a tight contest with a thrilling ending. After a balanced 1:1 quarter, Vouliagmeni earned a 3:1 lead, but the hosts halved the distance shortly before the end of the first half.
