Croatian Water Polo – Jug CO and Mladost in a Race To The Top

Croatian Water Polo - Jug CO and Mladost in a Race To The Top

Saturday might bring the finalists

The Croatian Water Polo Championship has a real treat this Saturday. It’s possible that the matches will reveal the finalists for the season 2017/2018 in the Championship. The decision could be made at Split’s pool in Poljud, which is the place of both semifinals and the second encounter.

Mladost will try to win against Jadran for the second time after they beat them in Zagreb. The game went with ease for Mladost with the advantage of 7 goals (12:5).

Also, it’s almost certain that Jug CO will reach the finals. After a triumph over Mornar BS (13:7), Jug will try to settle all doubts on Poljud. Especially since they intend to prepare carefully for the last round of the Champion League’s fundamental part, on 9th of May against Moscow’s Dinamo. This will be the match they must play the best they can.

Furthermore, the matches played for the 5th to 8th place are equally interesting. Primorje EB will try to win against Medveščak again, after the last score (13:6).

Split’s POŠK will host a game with Solaris after the advantage of 11 goals Solaris gave in the last game (16:5). The host has a chance to correct his mistakes he made in the first match, to improve the impression, and show their opponents what they got in the fight for the 5th place.
