2024 Men’s Champions League: Calendar and schedule

Following today’s draw for the Champions League Group Stage, LEN announced the schedule of the group stage, that will be played between September 26 and December 6.

The starting numbers in each group are determined by the positions of the clubs in the drawing pots.

The teams that were in the first and second lines of the draw will meet in the third and sixth rounds.

So, a highly anticipated match in Group B, Pro Recco – Olympiacos, will be played on Day 3. Novi Beograd will welcome Sabadell (Group A), Ferencvaros will play against Jadran Split (Group C), and Barceloneta against Marseille (Group D) on the same day.

On the first day of the competition, teams from the 1st and 3rd lines will face off, and the teams from pots 2 and 4 will play each other, etc.

In the first three rounds, the matches in Group A and B will be played a day before the games in Groups C and D. From the 4th day, the playing days will be switched.

2024 Champions League Group stage, Schedule

Group A

Participants: Novi Beograd (Serbia), Sabadell (Spain), Steaua Bucharest (Romania), the winner of the Qualification Group B

Day 1, September 26: Novi Beograd – Steaua, Sabadell – Winner B

Day 2, October 6: Winner B – Novi Beograd, Steaua – Sabadell

Day 3, October 17: Novi Beograd – Sabadell, Steaua – Winner B.

Day 4, November 1: Steaua – Novi Beograd, Winner B – Sabadell.

Day 5, November 22: Novi Beograd – Winner B, Sabadell – Steaua.

Day 6, December 6: Sabadell – Novi Beograd, Winner B – Steaua.

Group B

Participants: Pro Recco (Italy), Olympiacos (Greece), Dinamo Tbilisi (Georgia), the winner of the Qualification Group D.

Day 1, September 26: Pro Recco – Dinamo Tbilisi, Olympiacos – Winner D

Day 2, October 6: Winner D – Pro Recco, Dinamo – Olympiacos.

Day 3, October 17: Pro Recco – Olympiacos, Dinamo – Winner D.

Day 4, November 1: Dinamo – Pro Recco, Winner D – Olympiacos.

Day 5, November 22: Pro Recco – Winner D, Olympiacos – Dinamo Tbilisi.

Day 6, December 6: Olympiacos – Pro Recco, Winner D – Dinamo Tbilisi.

Group C

Participants: Ferencvaros (Hungary), Jadran Split (Croatia), Jadran Herceg Novi (Montenegro), the winner of the Qualification Group A

Day 1, September 27: Ferencvaros – Jadran HN, Jadran S – Winner A

Day 2, October 7: Winner A – Ferencvaros, Jadran HN – Jadran S.

Day 3, October 18: Ferencvaros – Jadran S, Jadran HN – Winner A

Day 4, October 31: Jadran HN – Ferencvaros, Winner A – Jadran S

Day 5, November 21: Ferencvaros – Winner A, Jadran S – Jadran HN.

Day 6, December 5: Jadran – Ferencvaros, Winner A – Jadran HN.

Group D

Participants: Barceloneta (Spain), Marseille (France), Spandau 04 Berlin (Germany), the winner of the Qualification Group C.

Day 1, September 27: Barceloneta – Spandau 04, Marseille – Winner C.

Day 2, October 7: Winner C – Barceloneta, Spandau 04 – Marseille

Day 3, October 18: Barceloneta – Marseille, Spandau 04 – Winner C.

Day 4, October 31: Spandau 04 – Barceloneta, Winner C – Marseille.

Day 5, November 21: Barceloneta – Winner C, Marseille – Spandau 04.

Day 6, December 5: Marseille – Barceloneta, Winner C – Spandau 04.

The top two teams from each group will go to the quarterfinal stage (two groups of four) and the 3rd-placed and 4th-placed in the LEN Euro Cup eighth finals.

Quarter-final stage – Day 1: 8/9 March; Day 2: 19/20 March; Day 3: 2/3 April; Day 4: 23/24 April; Day 5: 3/ 4 May; Day 6: 14/15 May.

The 1st-placed and 2nd-placed teams in the groups in the quarterfinal stage will qualify for the Final Four (6 – 8 June).

Qualifications (September 8 – 10)

GROUP A (Hannover, host Waspo 98): Waspo 98 Hannover (Germany), Barcelona (Spain), Crvena Zvezda (Serbia), EPS Honved (Hungary), Apollon Smyrnis (Greece)

GROUP B (Kragujevac, host Radnicki):  Brescia (Italy), Radnicki (Serbia), Primorac Kotor (Montenegro), ASC Duisburg (Germany), Noisy-le-Sec (France).

GROUP C (Oradea): Vouliagmeni (Greece), Ortigia (Italy), Oradea (Romania), Primorje EB Rijeka (Croatia).

GROUP D (Dubrovnik, host Jug): Jug AO (Croatia), OSC Budapest (Hungary), Tourcoing (France), Dinamo Bucharest (Romania).
