Several months ago, double Olympic champion, Filip Filipovic, told Greek journalists that the current season would be the last one in his career, and that he would retire as a player of Olympiacos.
However, Serbia's former captain, who played for Partizan, Pro Recco, Radnicki, and Szolnok before coming to Olympiacos in 2021, might not retire.
A few days ago, the Serbian daily "Vecernje Novosti" published that Filipovic would probably join Novi Beograd this summer. After that, some other media wrote that everything had been agreed and that it was almost certain that Filipovic wouldn't retire and would move to Novi Beograd.
Today, the first official information appeared.
Filipovic sent a denial letter to a few Serbian media that published articles about his moving to Novi Beograd. He said they "had presented untimely and incomplete information about his career".
In short, the job about Filipovic's moving to Novi Beograd hasn't been done.
"Negotiations are ongoing. The contract has not been signed", Filipovic said in his letter, among other things.
