The derby in Alphen, between AZC and Polar Bears, offered a big battle between teams of similar qualities. AZC dictated the pace, but it couldn’t build a big advantage. In the fourth quarter, Polar Bears took the lead for the first time (7:6). Still, Jesse Nispelling equalized immediately. Stan van den Heuvel set the final score in the 28th minute – 8:7. AZC and Polar Bears won 37 points each, but Polar Bears played one match more.

The league leader GZC Donk beat UZSC. The hosts from Gouda led throughout the match. UZSC caught up with GZC in the third period and leveled the score at 7:7. Still, it turned out that it was the visitors’ last goal. In the remaining time, GZC produced a 4:0 run for an 11:7 win.

ZV De Zaan won six points this weekend. On Saturday, ZV De Zaan earned a victory over title-holder Het Ravijn. The hosts started well and led 4:3 after the first quarter. But, the visiting side started taking control in the second period and opened the way to a 14:10 victory. It was the only win of a visiting team in this round. ZV De Zaan saved enough energy for another match. In the last game of the weekend, played on Sunday, ZV De Zaan was better than PSV (9:6)

Despite that loss, PSV could be satisfied with the last week.
