Barceloneta and Sabadell continued their neck and neck race for the top position in Group B of the Spanish League. After four rounds, each of the two teams has a maximum of 12 points.
Barceloneta was merciless in the fourth round. The former European champion ran over Mataro 16:3. Many predicted that Sabadell would have an easy task against Sant Andreu. But, Sabadell couldn’t relax until the end of the match. In the end, it celebrated a 3-goal victory (9:6).
The most interesting match of the day was encounter between Navarra and Tenerife which ended with no winner.

Terrassa didn’t make a mistake against Catalunya. The group-leader opened the match with a 5:1 advantage. After even eight goals in the second period, the distance remained the same. But, Terrassa dominated in the second half.
Real Canoe recorded its first win in the season by beating Sant Feliu at home. Sant Feliu arrived in Madrid determined in wish to win the first point(s). The visitors started well. They had a 2:0 lead in the first quarter and a 4:3 advantage in the second period. By the middle of the match, Real went ahead (5:4). Sant Feliu equalized once more (6:6). After that, Real built a 2-goal advantage (8:6) and kept the difference until the end.

Barceloneta continued its series of convincing wins. After four rounds, Barceloneta has 12 points with an impressive goal difference (67:15). Today, Barceloneta was too strong for Mataro, that played without its experienced Brazilian Gustavo Guimaraes. The hosts rushed to a 10:0 lead before Mataro scored its first goal in the match. After the middle break, Barceloneta continued rolling. The hosts jumped to a 15:1 lead and slowed in the final few minutes. Italian Michael Bodegas was the top scorer, with four goals. Felipe Perrone added three.
Sabadell got off to a great start in the match against Sant Andreu. The home team held Sant Andreu scoreless in the first two quarters and built a 4:0 lead. But, the visitors regrouped themselves during the middle break and started climbing back. Sant Andreu managed to cut the deficit to two (2:4) and the rest of the game was a relatively balanced battle. In the middle of the last period, Sant Andreu came close to the rival once more (6:8). Still, Sabadell’s win wasn’t in big danger. Francisco Valera converted a man-up 18 seconds from the end for the final score – 9:6.
The next round will bring a big derby. Sabadell will host Barceloneta.
After a hard battle, Navarra and Tenerife shared the points. Both sides are still winless, but there are no zeros in their points columns. There were a lot of twists and turns in this thrilling game. Just once, the distance between the teams was bigger than a goal. Tenerife earned a 5:3 lead in the 13th minute, but the hosts responded with a 3:0 series and went ahead (6:5). Navarra entered the last minute with a 9:8 lead. However, Tenerife earned a penalty shot with four seconds remaining on the clock. Tenerife coach and player Albert Espanol sent the ball into the net from the 5m line for the final score – 9:9.
