Barceloneta convincingly defeated Barcelona (15:4) in the big match of the Spanish League Round 15
A round before the end, Barceloneta secured 1st place in the regular season and a “pole position” in the playoffs.

Last month, Barcelona and Barceloneta shared the points (9:9). This time, Barceloneta dominated from the first whistle. At halftime, Barceloneta had a 4-goal advantage (5:1). Barcelona managed to half the distance twice in the third period (3:5, 4:6). After Barcelona’s fourth goal, the match turned into a one-sided contest. The reigning champion produced an 8:1 run for a 14:5 victory. Barceloneta’s goalkeeper Dani Lopez did a great job in front of his goal. He posted many saves, but he hit the back of the opponent’s net. In the fourth period, Lopez scored a goal for 10:4.
Terrassa defeated Sabadell 16:14. After the third quarter, Terrassa led 15:10. Shortly after the last break, the hosts stretched the margin to 16:10 and that was the end of the contest. Sabadell scored the last four goals in the match , but it was too late for a comeback. Terrassa climbed into 2nd place. Terrassa and Barcelona are tied in points, but Terrassa has a better goal difference.
The top four teams qualified for the playoffs. Barceloneta will play against Sabadell, while Barcelona and Terrassa will face off in the semifinals.
