“Controfuga” (counterattack in Italian) is a television show, wholly dedicated to water polo, launched by the Lunaset Group. The show was established five years ago by an idea by Gianluca Leo, the host of the broadcast.
The broadcast aims to emphasize the world of Italian water polo, thus satisfying the need for in-depth study and greater knowledge of this sport by many fans and experts.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak in Italy, the show has been running in an online version on Facebook Pages – Controfuga and Waterpolo People.
“In every episode, we talk about marketing, event management, problems and solutions, communications, projects. Also, we have spoken with important active and former players about their emotional moments – the gold medal in Barcelona in 1992 or Athens in 2004, the gold medal at the 2019 World Championships, etc.
So far, we have had many interesting guests like Pro Recco’s director Maurizio Felugo, Italian legend Pino Porzio, Martina Miceli, Francesco Postiglione, Sandro Campagna, Dudo Simenc, Amadeo Pomilio and many national team players.” the host Gianluca Leo said. He organizes a popular Yellow ball international tournament for kids.
