All players and the staff of the national team of Serbia were tested on Friday after Serbia’s center-forward Nemanja Vico has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to unofficial information, there are no new cases among the players, but head coach Dejan Savic has tested positive. He confirmed a positive test in a short statement for the Serbian portal “Nova”. Savic has a high body temperature. He feels well, but additional tests will be done tomorrow. After that, it will be clear if Savic will be in a home quarantine or he is going to the hospital.
The Water Polo Federation of Serbia hasn’t officially announced information about Savic’s positive test until all analyses aren’t finished.
After it was discovered that Vico was infected, the national team halted all the activities. On May 25, Serbia started preparations in Belgrade.
