ZPC Het Ravijn was the host of one of the groups in the Champions League Qualifications ten days ago. The title holder opened the domestic season with a home game against De Ham. The first quarter was balanced (2:2), but Het Ravijn dictated the pace in the middle two periods and entered the final quarter with a 10:6 advantage. The hosts even went to 11:6, but De Ham didn’t surrender. The visitors scored four goals in a row and reduced the gap to one in the 31st minute (10:11). However, they couldn’t score an equalizer.

This was the second loss to De Ham, which was defeated by PSV in an earlier played match (12:14).

This weekend, PSV hosted Polar Bears, which was merciless and beat the home team 12:4.

The other two matches of the weekend produced 51 goals in total.

ZV de Zaan, the representative of the Netherlands in the LEN Euro Cup, had a nice rehearsal before the European challenges. De Zaan defeated ZPC Amersfoort. The visitors earned a 4:0 lead quickly, and a great opening of the game put them on the right track.

UZSC beat debutant in the league De Linge/PCG – 15:10. However, the newcomers didn’t disappoint. They kept with the favorite for a while. At halftime, only two goals separated the rivals (5:7). After the first break, UZSC, led by Joep de Jong (6 goals) built a 5-goal lead.
