The last round of the regular season was held in Spain this weekend.
The final ranking before the playoffs was known before this weekend’s games, so there were no tensions and open questions.

Barceloneta completed the league with a convincing 11:4 victory over Terrassa. The visitors scored 1st goal in the match, but the hosts, led by Alvaro Granados, responded with five for a 5:1 lead and kept a 4-goal distance until the middle break.Barceloneta controlled the game in the second half, too, and cruised to the win.
Barcelona easily defeated Sant Andreu 13:7, while Sabadell downed Mediterrani. The first quarter of the duel between Sabadell and Mediterrani saw a flood of goals. Sabadell led 6:4 after the first eight minutes. Both teams, especially Sabadell, strengthened their defenses from the 2nd quarter, Early in the third quarter, Sabadell built a 5-goal lead (9:4), and there was no way back for Mediterrani.

Two matches are still remaining in the group for places 7th – 16th, but the outcome of these games won’t affect the final standings. Mataro is the best in this group. It secured 7th place with a 14:8 win over Catalunya in the last round. Sant Feliu remains at the bottom of the table.
