The 15th round was opened on Tuesday. Ferencvaros and OSC played their matches earlier because they will meet again in the Champions League on Friday. Ferencvaros, without a few experienced players (Denes Varga, Jansik, etc), started slowly against Szentes. But, after 2:2, Ferencvaros netted six straight goals and earned a big 8:2 lead. OSC dominated from the beginning of the game against Szeged. OSC had a 6-goal lead already in the 9th minute (7:1). After that, the hosts’ attack worked better, but OSC increased the margin to ten by the end (19:9).

Eger bounced back after two convincing losses to favorites (3:14 to Ferencvaros and 4:11 to Szolnok). It beat BVSC in a 30-goal match and climbed to 6th place.

Eger took a good start in the derby, but it couldn’t keep a good pace for long. The hosts earned a 3:0 lead in the 6th minute. However, BVSC leveled at 3:3, scoring three goals in 02:04 minutes. Still, in the very last second of the first quarter, Marton Doczi gave Eger a 4:3 advantage. But BVSC took control and scored three straight goals to turn around a 3:4 deficit to a 6:4 lead. Still, Eger had the last word in the second quarter, just as in the first period – nine seconds before the middle break, Samu Biros made it 5:6. The third quarter was crucial for the final score. The hosts built a 2-goal lead (9:7, 10:8, 11:9). BVSC continued chasing Eger in the fourth period and halved the deficit to one three times – until 12:13. At the finish, Eger netted two back-to-back (Radli and Murisic). The home side went to 15:12 with 99 seconds left on the clock and secured the victory.

Szolnok crushed KSI (16:6), while Honved showed no mercy to PVSK in Pecs (14:6).

Miskolc entered the match against Vasas bravely. The hosts led 2:0, 3:2, and 4:3. The favorite from Budapest found its rhythm after the first break. Early in the third period, Vasas built a 3-goal lead for the first time (8:5). Still, Miskolc was able to catch up with the visitors. The hosts produced a 3:0 run in 01:24 minutes to level at 8:8. But, Vasas responded with a 5:0 series, jumped to 13:8 (the 26th minute), and the winner was decided.

UVSE collected three very important points in its efforts to run away from the bottom of the table. UVSE defeated Kaposvar 8:6 and moved from 12th to 9th place. UVSE was a better rival throughout the match. It had a 3-goal lead in the second quarter (4:1) and again in the middle of the fourth period (7:4). Still, Kaposvar didn’t surrender. The visitors came very close to UVSE (6:7) with 56 seconds to go. But, the hosts were awarded a penalty shot in their next possession. Rolf Bencz found the net from the 5m line and the contest was over – 8:6.
