Szentes – Miskolc on October 6

Played earlier: Eger – Kanisza 15:5 and 14:6, Szolnok – Kaposvar 13:8 and 12:6.

The most exciting match of the weekend was the 1st leg of an encounter between Miskolc and Szentes, played today. Szentes led throughout the match and had a 3-goal advantage three times (4:1, 5:2, 6:3). In the middle of the last period, Miskolc cut the deficit to one goal (5:6), but Szentes’ Matyok closed the match and gave his team a solid 7:5 advantage before the return leg. Miskolc still keeps its hopes alive.

As for the other seven duels, there were no open questions after the first legs. Favorites made giants steps towards the quarterfinals before the return matches.

Ferencvaros, the winner of the 2020/21 Cup, wasn’t so convincing in the 1st leg, but it was too strong for PVSK – 16:6.
Vasas controlled the match against Honved and recorded another convincing win – 11:5 (after a 13:4 victory in the first leg).

BVSC recorded two big wins over Debrecen in two days, scoring a total of 42 goals (19:8 on Saturday and 23:9 on Sunday).

OSC defeated UVSE by eight goals in the second match (18:10). The difference in thefirst game was also eight goals (16:8). The best scorer of the 2nd game was Vince Vigvari, who arrived at OSC from UVSE this summer. He netted five goals.

Szeged ran over HVSC once again, this time it recorded a nine-goal win (15:4).
