Almost each of the games of the 19th round of the Hungarian League was a festival of goals. A total of 174 goals were scored in seven games.
Most of the favorites recorded convincing wins. There were a few interesting games, and the most thrilling encounter was a clash between PVSK Pecs and BVSC that ended in a 10:10 draw.

On Wednesday, PVSK upset Honved in Budapest (7:6), while BVSC suffered a surprising home loss to Kaposvar (11:13).
In the opening minutes of the match in Pecs, it seemed that BVSC had recovered from the defeat to Kaposvar and that it would return to the winning track. BVSC had a three-goal lead twice (4:1, 6:3). But, after BVSC’s sixth goal, PVSK produced a 4:0 run and turned around the big deficit to a 7:6 lead. BVSC responded with two goals and went in front again (8:7). PVSK leveled before the fourth quarter (8:8). The series of twists and turns continued after the last break. PVSK took a 9:8 lead. At the finish of the game, BVSC scored two back-to-back goals for a 10:9 advantage (31st minute). But, shortly after, PVSK’s Lihotszky leveled at 10:10. Both teams had attacks in the last minute to secure a victory but failed to score.
Eger, with the new head coach Peter Biros, hosted Honved. Eger took the lead just once, but the game was open until the end. Eger scored the first goal in the match, but Honved quickly responded with three and went to 3:1. The visitors led for most of the time. Still, Eger didn’t surrender easily. The hosts equalized at 3:3 From that point on, Honved was always in front, it built a 4-goal lead early in the third period (9:5). Still, the contest wasn’t over yet. Eger came very close (8:9) and continued chasing the rival. Two minutes before the end, Honved earned a safe 15:12 lead and secured three points. Veteran Norbert Hosnyanszky was the best scorer with five goals.
Both teams had ups and downs in the first half of the encounter between Miskolc and Vasas. Miskolc led 3:2. Vasas opened the second quarter with four goals and jumped to a 6:3 lead. However, Miskolc caught up with the visitors before the middle break – 7:7. Vasas dominated the second half. By the middle of the fourth quarter, Vasas built a 16:8 advantage and secured a comfortable victory.
Even 33 goals were scored in the game Szentes – Ferencvaros. The hosts kept up with “Fradi” until the first break. Ferencvaros’ defense was far from excellent, but the favorite controlled the game and cruised to 21:12 victory.
Szeged opened the match against DVSE Debrecen excellently. Already in the 12th minute, five goals separated the rivals (7:2). Debrecen couldn’t come back after that.
Szolnok and OSC, the finalists of the 2021 playoffs, recorded convincing wins.
