The next regular round of the Hungarian League (Day 11) is scheduled for November 7. But seven Hungarian clubs have been busy in the last few days and have played four rescheduled matches. Three games were played today, while one was staged on Monday.
Favorites Szolnok, Ferencvaros, OSC, and Vasas were merciless, and the scorers were very productive. Even 102 goals were scored in these four games. Kaposvar played two matches and suffered two big defeats – to Vasas on Monday (6:22) and Szolnok today (8:16). Ferencvaros did a clean job in Miskolc (14:7), while OSC beat Szeged (19:10) at home.

The league leader Szolnok had a slow start against Kaposvar. But, by halftime, the hosts built a 7:2 lead. Early in the third quarter, they added two goals for 9:2 and never looked back. Serbia center-forward Dusko Pijetlovic scored five goals. His fellow countryman Filip Filipovic followed Pijetlovic, with three goals.
Ferencvaros played its fourth consecutive away match and earned another big win. Miskolc kept up with the title-holders for a few minutes. Ferencvaros scored an opening goal, but the hosts equalized in the middle of the first quarter (1:1). After that, Ferencvaros held the hosts goalless for 15 minutes. In that interval, Ferencvaros netted eight goals for 9:1. The visitors, led by a young Vendel Vigvari (4 goals) didn’t slow down and increased the margin of their win to 13.
OSC opened the match against Szeged with four quick goals for a 4:0 lead. But, the visitors recovered from that shock and scored three goals in three consecutive possessions to reduce the gap (3:4). Still, OSC controlled the match. The hosts entered the second half with a 10:5 advantage. The team coached by Daniel Varga didn’t let Szeged come back again. An experienced Balasz Harai was the top scorer (4 goals).
On Monday, Bence Batori found the net 7 times to lead Vasas to a 22:8 victory over Kaposvar.
Several games that were postponed will be played on Saturday.
