The games of the first two rounds were lopsided contests. Jadran and Primorac beat Budva and Cattaro with ease.
The derby, Jadran – Primorac, was played on the last day. Jadran collected points thanks to an excellent defense in the first half. The Herceg Novi-based side conceded only one goal in the first half. That happened just eight seconds before the middle break. Before that goal, Jadran already had a 6:0 advantage. Primorac played better in the second half, but it couldn’t recover from an opening shock.
The best scorers of the derby were Jadran’s Marko Petkovic, Danilo Radovic and Jovan Vujovic (two goals each)
Cattaro and Budva fought a hard battle in the second match of the last round. Cattaro got off to a better start and took a 4:2 lead, but Budva managed to equalize(4:4). The teams were neck and neck after that. In the 29th minute, Budva built a two-goal lead for the first time (8:6). Cattaro halved the distance, but it didn’t secure at least a point. There were a lot of exclusions in the 32nd minute of the game. Cattaro even had a penalty shot, but it didn’t score, and Budva recorded a slim 8:7 win.
The second tournament will be played in Kotor (December 13 – 15). The medal matches are scheduled for December 22 (probably in Podgorica.
