Sabadell had a bye weekend.

The encounter between Terrassa, which will play in the Champions League this season, and Barcelona, the former European champion, was the derby of Day 1.

Terrassa, the home team, trailed by three goals deep into the second quarter (4:7). However, the hosts were able to come back by scoring five goals in a row. They netted four unanswered goals by the end of the third quarter to gain an 8:7 advantage before the final eight minutes. Terrassa added one early in the fourth for 9:7. Barcelona responded with three consecutive goals and retook the lead 10:9. The visitors entered the last minute with a 12:11 advantage, but Barrosso netted his 5th goal to equalise and secure a point for Terrassa – 12:12.

Real Canoe defeated Tenerife 10:8. The first half was decisive for the outcome, as Real built a 6:1 lead by halftime.

Catalunya was too strong for Navarra and recorded a big 17:7 victory.
