A few days after hard battles at the Regional League Final Four, Radnicki, Jug, Jadran S, and Mladost returned to the domestic competitions.

Mladost ran over Jadran Split in the derby of the Croatian League Round 15 and took revenge for a defeat at the F4.

The Regional League winner Radnicki survived a real drama before it defeated Partizan in the postponed match of round 14 of the Serbian League.

2020/21 Croatian League, Day 15

Group I (1st – 6th place)

Jadran – Mladost 5:15 (1:5, 0:5, 2:5, 2:0)

Solaris – Mornar postponed

On Sunday, Jadran Split defeated Mladost in the bronze-medal match at the Regional League Final Four (11:8) in Zagreb. The league match between the same teams, played in Split, was completely different. Mladost dominated from the first whistle. Already in the middle of the third quarter, the visitors had a 10-goal advantage (11:1). Mladost entered the final period with a 15:3 and let Jadran score two consolation goals in the final period. Ante Viskovic, who moved to Mladost from Jadran last summer, led the visiting team with four goals, while Franko Lazic added three.

Jug didn’t let surprise and convincing defeated Primorje. Daniil Merkulov was the best scorer with four goals.

A round before the end of the regular season, Jug almost secured the “pole position”, while Mladost will probably enter the playoffs from the second place

2020/21 Serbian League, Day 14

Partizan – Radnicki 11:12 (4:3, 3:2, 2:3, 2:4)

Radnicki was exhausted after a series of challenging matches, while Partizan was highly motivated to beat the favorite. Still, a young home team didn’t upset the Regional League winner.

Partizan kept Radnicki under pressure for more than three quarters. Radnicki took an opening 3:1 lead. The hosts responded with four goals and gained a 2-goal advantage (5:3) early in the second quarter, and maintained the difference until the middle break (7:5).

Radnicki scored three unanswered goals in the third period and went in front (8:7), but Partizan had a 9:8 lead before the final quarter. Radnicki opened the fourth period in the same manner as the third – with a 3:0 series for an 11:9 lead. But, Partizan responded immediately for 10:11. The visitors, finally, secured the win ten seconds before the final buzzer, when Strahinja Rasovic sent the ball into the net for 12:10. Olympic champion Stefan Mitrovic was the man of the match. He scored five goals for Partizan. Aleksa Ukropina netted four for Radnicki.
