Italian champion Brescia has brought another experienced player.
Canada’s center-forward Nicolas Constantin Bicari (29) signed a one-year contract, the club announced today.
Bicari has been playing in Europe for a while. He comes to Brescia from Ferencvaros, where he spent the past two seasons. Earlier, he played for Marseille and Jug Dubrovnik.
He replaces Greek Dimitris Nikolaidis, who joined Spandau 04. Brescia will have a pair of excellent center-forwards because Serb Djordje Lazic stays at the club.
Bicari is Brescia’s fourth reinforcement, after goalkeeper Petar Tesanovic (Jadran Herceg Novi), Boris Vapenski (Dinamo Tbilisi) and Stefano Luongo (Pro Recco).
But, several very good players left the club: goalkeeper Marco Del Lungo (Pro Recco), Angelos Vlachopoulos (Novi Beograd), Giacomo Canella (Pro Recco), Dimitris Nikolaidis (Spandau 04), Maro Jokovic (?). So, the transfer window probably hasn’t been finished for Brescia, yet.
Captain Christian Presciutti could also leave Brescia, but the club will try to extend the contract with the experienced player.
As for European champion Pro Recco, it seems that the Genoese finished all the activities in the transfer market.
Recco’s latest addition is Zeno Bertoli (Posillipo). Before him, four players arrived: Luka Loncar (Jug AO), Marco Del Lungo (Brescia), Giacomo Canella (Brescia), Gergo Zalanki (Ferencvaros) and coach Sandro Sukno.
Five players departed from Pro Recco: Dusan Mandic (Novi Beograd), Marko Bijac (Olympiacos), Niksa Dobud (Jadran Splitt), Niccolo Figari (Qunito), Stefano Luongo (Brescia).
Telimar Palermo, which will play in the LEN Euro Cup next season, managed to bring American Max Irving, who left Olympiacos. He is the club’s second reinforcement, after Croat Andrija Basic, who is also coming from Greece. Basic played for Vouliagmeni in the season 2020/21.
Novi Beograd, one of the most active clubs in the 2021 transfer market, confirmed a transfer we have already written about. The club signed a contract with Brazil’s goalkeeper Joao Pedro Coimbra (Barceloneta). The Brazilian goalie is the tenth newcomer to Novi Beograd this summer, after Dusan Mandic (Pro Recco), Gojko Pijetlovic (Oradea), Dusko Pijetlovic (Szolnok), Angelos Vlachopoulos (Brescia), Nikola Jaksic (Ferencvaros), Viktor Rasovic (Noisy-le-Sec), Strahinja Rasovic (Radnicki), Djordje Vucinic (Sabac), Radomir Drasović (Szolnok).
The club’s best scorer in the previous season Drasko Gogov renewed the contract, as well as Georgia’s Nika Shushiashvilli, Petar Tomic, Vasilije Martinovic, Petar Mitrovic and goalkeeper Matija Vlahovic.
The list of the players who left Novi Beograd is also long: Milos Cuk (Radnicki), Dimitrije Risticevic (Partizan), Djordje Filipovic (retired), Marko Avramovic (?),Aleksandar Radanović (Vojvodina), Nikola Nikolov (Vojvodina), Nikola Bursac (Vojvodina), Nikola Radulovic (?), Mateja Asanovic (?).
In the last few days, Partizan has confirmed almost all of the signings media have written about. The club announced that several experienced players had returned to the club: Milan Aleksic (Barceloneta), goalkeeper Dimitrije Risticevic (Novi Beograd), Nemanja Vico (Trieste), Petar Velkic (Sabac) and that Stefan Mitrovic had extended the contract. The confirmation for two players who are coming from the Greek League – Filip Radojevic (PAOK) and Alex Bowen (Apollon) is still missing.
To date, the most decorated German club Spandau 04 has announced that it had signed contracts with four new players. Slovak Marek Tkac is coming from Sabac (Serbia), Spaniard Agusti Pericas arrived from Terrassa (Spain), and Greek Dimitrios Nikolaidis from Brescia (Italy). Zoran Bozic moved from Esslingen to Spandau 04.
Greek Ydraikos has signed contracts with two foreigners in the last several days. Serb Marko Jankovic arrived from Sabac. Jankovic played for Partizan and Crvena Zvezda before moving to Sabac. Montenegrin Danilo Adzic comes from Primorac. Earlier, Adzic was Partizan’s and Crvena Zvezda’s player, like Jankovic.
