Ortigia win Savona in the derby; Posillipo take victory in last minute

In one of the standout fixtures of matchday, Ortigia emerged victorious in the derby clash against Savona with a scoreline of 11:8. Meanwhile, Posillipo secured a hard-fought win over Roma, winning 13:12.

In other matches, Quinto and Trieste had to dig deep to secure victories against Catania and De Akker respectively.

However, Telimar, Brescia, and Pro Recco had an easier time of it, recording comfortable wins over Salerno, Anzio, and Bogliasco.

In the derby of the matchday between Ortigia and Savona, Ortigia started strong with a 2:0 lead in the first quarter. However, Savona quickly responded with a goal from Patchaliev, bringing the score to 2:1 by the end of the quarter. In the second period, Savona managed to tie the game 2:2, but Ortigia pulled ahead again with a new series of two goals, bringing the score to 4:2. Savona was able to reduce the difference to 4:3 by the end of the first half. In the third period, Ortigia extended their lead to 6:3 with goals from Ferrero and Rossi, but Savona fought back and made a series of three goals to tie the game 6:6 by the end of the period. In the fourth and final period, Savona took the lead 7:8 until six minutes left in the game. However, Ortigia scored four goals in a row to secure a victory with a final score of 11:8.

Telimar had a strong start in the first period, taking a 5:1 lead over their opponent. In the second quarter, The hosts continued to dominate and increased their lead to 10:3 by the end of the first half. In the third period, the teams scored evenly, with each team scoring three goals, leaving the score at 13:6 in favor of Telimar.

However, in the final period, the host team made a strong comeback and scored four goals, securing a final score of 16-8 in their favor.Quinto started off strongly, taking a 2:0 lead in the first quarter with some excellent play. However, Catania came back strong in the second quarter with four goals, taking the lead at 4:2. Quinto managed to pull one back and reduce the deficit to 3:4 by the end of the half. In the third period, Quinto staged a remarkable comeback, turning the tables and taking a commanding 7:4 lead. Despite their best efforts, Catania could not find a way to respond to the relentless attack of the white caps. As the match wore on, Quinto continued to dominate, building their lead to 11:8 by the end of the game.

In a thrilling match played between Posillipo and Roma, the hosts emerged victorious with a narrow 13:12 win. The match got off to a great start for Roma, as Spione scored two quick goals to give his team an early lead. However, Posillipo fought back hard and managed to score two goals of their own before the end of the first period for 2:3. In the second period, Posillipo continued their momentum and made a series of five goals to take a commanding lead of 7:4 by halftime. The hosts continued to dominate in the third period and extended their lead to 10:6. But Roma wasn’t going to give up without a fight. They mounted a strong comeback and scored four goals in a row to tie the game 10:10 with just five minutes left on the clock. Stevenson then scored for Posillipo to take a new lead, but Lucci replied with a goal of his own to tie the game again at 11:11. The hosts took the lead once again, but Roma managed to level the scores again at 12:12. With just 53 seconds left on the clock, Briganti scored the winning goal for Posillipo, securing a hard-fought victory for his team.

On the first period, both teams played aggressively and scored goal for goal. However, Trieste managed to take the lead with a score of 2:3. In the second period, the visitors increased their advantage by scoring two goals while the opposing team only managed to score one, resulting in a score of 3:5 in favor of Trieste at halftime. The third quarter proved to be high-scoring with a total of seven goals. Trieste once again increased their lead, bringing the score to 6:9. However, in the last period, both teams failed to score any goals, resulting in a final score of 6:9 in favor of Trieste.

Brescia secured a victory against Anzio with a final score of 6:20. The match began with a strong start from Brescia, who took a big lead of 2:8 in the first 16 minutes of the game. This early lead provided them with the momentum they needed to dominate the rest of the game. The second half of the game saw Brescia further extend their lead, with the visitors growing the difference to +14 for the final score of 6:20.

Pro Recco dominated over Bogliasco with a final score of 2:17. The hosts were only able to score two goals throughout the game. Pro Recco’s victory was largely thanks to their strong performance in the first half, where they managed to score 11 goals for result 1:11.
