Szolnok, the leader, and OSC, the 2nd-placed team of the Hungarian League, faced challenges in the LEN Euro Cup this evening, but there were many other water polo games in Hungary today.
Six matches of the 22nd round were played today.

Ferencvaros and BVSC achieved wins with ease, but some of the encounters ended with surprising results.
The surprise of the day was a draw in the match Tatabanya – Eger played in Tatabanya. The visiting team was the favorite, but it barely saved a point. Tatabanya had a 3-goal lead (5:2) early in the second quarter. Eger equalized in the third period (6:6), and even went in front (8:7). But, Tatabanya regained the lead in the 26th minute (9:8). Still, Eger saved a point because Nikola Murisic converted a man-up 42seconds before the end.
PVSK’s convincing win (12:7) over Honved in Budapest can be considered a surprise, but the visitors deserved the win. The Pecs-based team dictated the pace throughout the match. In the middle of the third period, PVSK had a 5-goal advantage (10:5) and kept the distance until the end.
Vasas narrowly defeated Kaposvar. In the middle of the second quarter, Kaposvar was ahead – 4:2. Vasas responded with a 5:0 series to earn a three-goal advantage (7:4) early in the third period. Vasas led 10:7 before the final eight minutes. Kaposvar managed to cut the deficit (9:10), but the visitors saved the win.
Miskolc and Szeged shared the points after a big battle (8:8). Szeged was closer to a win, as it led 8:6. Still, Miskolc scored two goals in the last two minutes and secured the point.
