The Regional League Board has determined the competition system and the calendar for the season 2022/2023.

Just as in the previous season, the regular season of the Premier League will be played through several tournaments, but the formula isn’t the same as the last year.

It will be a round-robin competition (each team will play 11 games) divided into four stages.

The first tournaments will be played on October 8 and 9. The teams will be split into four groups with three teams each.

Group A (Herceg Novi): Jug AO, Jadran HN, Primorac.
Group B (Split, host Jadran): Jadran S, Mornar, Solaris.
Group C (Belgrade, host Novi Beograd): Novi Beograd, Sabac, Mladost.
Group D (Kragujevac): Radnicki, Crvena Zvezda, Partizan.

Each group consists of three rounds (each team will play two games).

The league continues with tournaments of the second stage in November (25 – 27). In this stage, the teams will play in two groups.

Group E, the crossing of groups A and D (Belgrade, host Crvena Zvezda): Jug, Jadran HN, Primorac, Radnicki, Crvena Zvezda, Partizan.
Group F, crossing of the groups B and C (Zagreb): Jadran S, Mornar, Solaris, Novi Beograd, Sabac, Mladost.

Each club will play three matches in this stage. It will play only against the three teams that weren’t its opponents in the first stage.

The third and the fourth phase are the same as the second. The teams will be split into two groups and will play against the sides they didn’t play in the previous stages.

The third stage is between January 19 and 21.

Group G, the crossing of groups C and D (Sabac): Novi Beograd, Sabac, Mladost, Radnicki, Crvena Zvezda, Partizan.
Group H, the crossing of groups A and B (Sibenik): Jug, Jadran HN, Primorac, Jadran S, Mornar, Solaris Sibenik.

The games of the fourth round will be played between February 24 and 26.

Group I, the crossing of  groups A and C (Dubrovnik): Jug, Jadran HN, Primorac, Novi Beograd, Sabac, Mladost.
Group J, the crossing of groups B and D (Split, host Mornar): Jadran S, Mornar, Solaris, Radnicki, Crvena Zvezda, Partizan.

After 11 rounds, the top four teams will qualify for the Final Four (March 11 – 12). The host of the F4 will be the 1st-placed team in the regular season.
