Dorde Lazic will leave Brescia at the end of the season to join Novi Beograd.
The 28-year-old Serb, who won gold at the Tokyo Olympic Games, is one of the best center-forwards in world water polo and will return to Serbia to join the Novi Beograd project.
Lazic, a Belgrade-born player who started his career at Partizan (winning four national championships), joined Szolnok in 2018 and played two seasons in Hungary. Since 2020, he has continued to make a name for himself at Brescia, winning the Italian league in his first season in Italy. This season, he was part of the Brescia side that stunned Pro Recco to lift the Coppa Italia.
Novi Beograd's other summer transfer business includes the signing of Duro Radovic to replace the departing Filip Filipovic. Luka Gladovic and Marko Dimitrijevic, both currently with Partizan, will continue their careers with Novi Beograd. Alvaro Granados is leaving Belgrade to join Pro Recco.
