Šabac Almost Resists Mladost’s Domination, Jadran Split Continues Winning – Triglav League

Šabac Almost Resist Mladost's Domination, Jadran Continues Winning Streak - Triglav League

Two days concluded the 12th round of the Triglav League. There were tight matches played across the standings, along with some surprises.

Match Reports

Since the third leg of the Regional League, Partizan had finally managed to get a win, scoring the 5-goal-difference against POŠK. Stefan Ćirić’s team celebrated again, just like they did back in October. It was an expected win, but the other Friday match showed little more tension.

Mladost played a tight match against Šabac as the guests in their pool. Even though Mladost started the game with three goals in lead, they barely managed to win with a goal difference. Their key player was Cosmin Radu, who scored three goals and fought for six exclusions. As far as the standings are concerned, Mladost is still way ahead of others with 34 points, despite Šabac’s efforts.

Saturday brought three matches that concluded the League’s 12th round.

One of the tensest yesterday’s matches saw Jug winning against now third-placed Jadran Carine. It was undeniably a clear win with 14:7, though a lot is owed to Jug’s defenses and Toni Popadić, who was constantly bombarded from the other side, especially under Konstantin Averka. But it was enough for Kobešćak’s team who entered the fourth quarter with 11:4. Hrvoje Benić was the top scorer with four goals.

Jadran Split crushed Crvena Zvezda with 13:10 in their own pool and climbed to the envious second place on the standings. And Mornar scored 12 goals against Primorac’s 11.
