Terrassa and Barcelona earn away victories to keep perfect records

The winter break is over for the Spanish clubs, too. Five matches have been played this weekend. There were no thrilling and uncertain finishes. Favorites didn’t have problems to collect points.

The match of the day was an encounter between Mediterrani and Terrasa. The points went to Terrassa, which won 13:7.

2020/21 Spanish League, Day 7

Group A

Mediterrani – Terrassa 7:13 (1:3, 4:5, 0:2, 2:3)

Mediterrani: G. Garcia 2, A. Garcia 2, Frigola 1, Minguell 1, Edwards 1.
Terrassa: Gutierrez 5, Alarcon 2, Barroso 2, Carillo 1, Prieto 1, De Lera 1, Chico 1.

Sant Feliu– Catalunya 4:14 (0:3,0:4,2:5,2:2)

Real Canoe – Barcelona on January 22

Mediterrani scored the opening goal in the derby against Terrassa. But, the visitors responded with four straight goals to earn a 4:1 lead. Two minutes before the middle break, Mediterrani came very close to the opponent (4:5). However, Terrassa jumped to a 10:5 lead by the end of the third quarter and killed all the excitement. Terrassa keeps a perfect record with six wins in as many games

Catalunya convincingly defeated Sant Feliu and continued the battle for a place in the group for the title. After the 10th round, the top three teams from each group will advance to the group for places 1st-6th.

Sant Andreu: Paul Garcia 5, Tenorio 2, Bofill 2, V.Cabanas 1, Gomez 1

Sabadell – Mataro 12:6 (3:2,4:1,1:1,4:2)

Astralpool CN Sabadell: Cabanas 5, Lopez-Escribano 3, Sanahuja 2, Teclas 1,, Bertran 1.
Quadis CN Mataro: Yanez 2, Minguez 1, Daura 1, V.Fernandez 1, De Freitas 1.

Barceloneta, playing without goalkeeper Dani Lopez, Felipe Perrone, Milan Aleksic, knocked down last-placed Navarra and continued its winning streak.

Sabadell, led by Sergi Cabanas, defeated Mataro and firmly holds 2nd place in the table.

Sant Andreu added new three points and climbed into 3rd place, ahead of Mataro. Sant Andreu overcame Echeyde Tenerife. The match was an even contest for a while. Two and a half minutes before the end of the third period, the teams were tied at 7:7. But, then Sant Andreu made a 4:1 series for an 11:8 win.

The league will be continued next weekend, with the matches of the 7th round.
