Trieste had a lot of problems because of coronavirus. Many players were out of the team. Therefore, Trieste was forced to withdraw from the LEN Euro Cup. Today, the team finally played its first league match in the 2020/21 season. Roma arrived in Trieste. After a balanced 1st period (3:3), Trieste kept the visitors goalless in the second quarter and jumped to a 5:3 lead. The home team led throughout the second half of the game, but it couldn’t relax until the fourth quarter. Roma cut the deficit to one twice during the third quarter (4:5 and 5:6), and once in the fourth period (6:7). Then Trieste produced a 4:0 rush and earned a safe 11:6 advantage in the middle of the quarter.

Posillipo earned three points in Florence and kept the perfect record (3/3), but the Naples-based team had to work hard until the final buzzer. The first quarter belonged to Posillipo (2:1), but Florentia opened the second period with a 3:0 series for a 4:2 lead. Still, the visitors equalized before the middle break. Before the final quarter, Posillipo had an 8:7 lead. Early in the fourth quarter, Savona’s Astiarta leveled the score (8:8). After that, there were no goals for a while. Zeno Bertoli scored a winner for Posillipo 70 seconds before the end.

After an unsuccessful episode in the LEN Euro Cup, Savona recorded its second win in the season. Savona recorded an away win over Metanopoli.
