Water polo documentaries “The Golden Caps” on Sport Klub each day

The national team of Yugoslavia, the world champion in 1986

The Serbian editorial office of the regional TV station „Sport Klub“ produced a series of documentary TV shows named “The Golden Caps”.

The stories of the most significant successes of the national water polo team of Yugoslavia and the succeeding countries achieved since Yugoslavia’s first Olympic gold (1968)  will be presented in the 17 episodes of the series. The Sport Klub team spoke to former and active water polo players and coaches from Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Spain and Italy.

Water polo aces and officials who took part and evoked their memories in the series are Djordje Perisic, Igor Milanovic, Aleksandar Sostar, Goran Radjenovic, Igor Gocanin, Anto Vasovic, Mislav Beznalinovic, Vaso Subotic, Dubravko Simenc, Tomislav Paskvalin, Milivoj Bebic, Veselin Djuho, Dragan Andric, Ratko Rudic, Deni Lusic, Milorad Krivokapic, Viktor Jelenic, Goran Sukno, Milan Tadic, Mirko Vicevic, Veljko Uskokovic, Vladimir Vujasinovic, Dejan Savic, Danilo Ikodinovic, Petar Trbojevic, Aleksandar Ciric, Vanja Udovicic, Gojko Pijetlovic, Branislav Mitrovic, Vladimir Gojkovic, Aleksandar Ivovic, Milos Scepanovic, Sava Randjelovic, Dusan Mandic, Nikola Jaksic, Slobodan Nikic, Zivko Gocic, Milos Cuk, Dusko Pijetlovic, Stefan Mitrovic,Andrija Prlainovic, Filip Filipovic, Nikola Dedovic, Strahinja Rasovic, Ivica Tucak, Petar Porobic, Mladen Rak, Sandro Campagna, Slobodan Soro, Felipe Perrone, Nikola Kuljaca, Dejan Udovicic, Milan Aleksic, Igor Hinic, Mile Smodlaka, Nikola Radjen, Djordje Lazic,Vladimir Radovic, Velibor Sovrovic, then journalists Milorad Djurkovic, Atanas Kostovski, and Snezana Pantovic.

In addition, the TV audience will watch the interviews with Nenad Manojlovic, Nikola Stamenic, Vlaho Orlic, Nenad Manojlovic, Uros Marovic, Dejan Dabovic, Boris Cukvas, Karlo Stipanic, Ronald Lopatni, Ozren Bonacic from the Sport Network’s archive.

The series of 17 episodes started yesterday. “The Golden Caps” episodes run each day at 17:00 CET on Sport Klub 1, with the reruns the next day.

The author of the “Golden Caps” is journalist Dejan Stevovic, a regular member of the Total Player jury. The series was produced by Radovan Maksimovic and edited by Boris Ognjenovic.
