The only dilemma ahead of this game was whether the heartbreaking Argentineans could score a goal against the excellent Americans. They did it twice, both of them by Ludmila Ianni. For one of the tournament’s biggest favorite, team USA, the game was just a good practice.

MVP: Lucrezia Cergol

Serbia has given great resistance to Italy. In the last second of the second quarter, Italy scored for their minimum lead 5: 4. At the beginning of the third quarter, the Italians by two goals created a difference that was unacceptable for the Serbian players. Italy will in the last round play Spain for the first place of the group while Serbia will fight Canada for an important third position.

Group A: Spain v Canada 16:6

Quarters: 4:2, 3:3, 6:0 , 3:1

Shots:
ESP: 22 – 16
CAN: 16 – 6

Extrawomen:
ESP: 12 – 4

MVP: Alejandra Aznar

At the beginning of the second quarter, Spain led 6:2, but then the Spaniards stopped which give the Canadians the opportunity to take the advantage to the biggest satisfaction of their fans present in the Belgrade stands. However, Canada just made 3:3 in the second quarter. And that was it for Canada. They have played 17 minutes without scoring a single goal. On the other hand, Spain played great, with 6:0 in the third quarter and won the game.
