Dejan Savic,one of the most decorated water polo coaches ever, will continue his career in Saudi Arabia.
One of the best Asian clubs, Al Qadsiah, announced on social media that it had appointed Savic as a new head coach.
Savic coached Serbia for ten years (2013 - 2022) and won two Olympic golds (2016 and 2021), one gold and one bronze at the World Championships, three consecutive titles of the European champion (2014, 2016, 2018), FINA World Cup in 2014, six gold medals in the World League, etc. Between 2014 and 2016 Serbia, coached by Savic, won gold in each major competition it played.
He coached Crvena Zvezda on three occasions and won the Champions League in 2013 with the Red Whites.
This summer, he guided Sliema in the Maltese Summer League.
The season in Saudi Arabia runs from October to June, with three competitions taking place during that time - the championship, the Cup, and a competition under the patronage of the Prince or some other monarch.
