Jacob Mercep, a Croatian native, played his first official game for Australia today (against Croatia and losing 8:13).
After the World Championships in Doha, he will return to his homeland and join Jug Dubrovnik, the club he left seven years ago.
Meanwhile, he played in the NCAA College League (becoming the 4th-best scorer in the history of the water polo team of the University of Southern California) and in the Australian League. He was a member of Sydney University for two years.
