After training in the homeland, the male national team of Spain continued its preparations in Hungary.
The Spaniards had joint training with Hungary. From today until Thursday, they will play at the Five-nation EON Cup against Hungary, Serbia, Romania, and Germany.
Spain, which has qualified both for the World and the European Championships, arrived in Budapest with 19 players.
Head coach David Martin called up all 15 players who won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Fukuoka. Besides them, Marc Valls, Biel Gomilla, Oscar Asensio, and Unai Biel are candidates for the European Championships roster.
Spain was drawn in Group A of the European Championships in Croatia, along with the host, Montenegro and France.

Three of five participants in the EON Cup played in the semifinals of the World Championships in Fukuoka. Reigning world champion Hungary started the preparations with 27 players. Serbia, which lost to Spain in the bronze-medal match in Fukuoka, has 24 players on the extended roster, but 19 will play in the EON Cup. Goalkeeper Branislav Mitrovic, Sava Randjelovic, Nikola Jaksic, Djordje Lazic and Djordje Vucinic are recovering from injuries. They train in Belgrade and will join their teammates after the Budapest tournament.
