There are 24 names on the list of players who will participate in the pre-World Championship preparations of the Italian national team.
Head coach Alessandro Campagna added nine players to those who represented Italy at the European Championships in Croatia.
The winners of the European bronze are joined by goalkeeper Francesco De Michelis, Jacopo Alesiani, Tommaso Gianazza, Matteo Iocchi Gratta (these four were the candidates for the European Championships roster and worked in the December preparations), Mario Guidi, and four players who were members of the junior national team until recently: Andrea Patchaliev, Davide Occhione, Francesco Cassia, and Filippo Ferrero.
The Italians continued their road to the World Championships today – five days after winning bronze in Zagreb. In the first phase of the preparations (January 21 – 26), the „Settebello“ will train in the center of the Italian Swimming Federation in Ostia.

Italy is one of the big teams that hasn’t yet qualified for the Olympic Games. The Italians will play in Group D at the World Championships against Kazakhstan (February 5), Hungary (February 7) and Romania (February 9).
