BVSC has unveiled their line-ups for the 2024-25 season
After a strong season where the men’s team finished 4th and the women’s team secured 5th place, including a commendable 4th place in the Euro Cup, BVSC is looking to climb even higher.
The most significant change is on the bench, where Olympic Champion Daniel Varga will take over as the men's head coach, following the departure of Kristof Kemeny.
Five formidable players are joining the men’s squad, bringing a mix of experience and youth: David Jansik and Zsombor Szeghalmi (both from Szolnok), Akos Konarik (from Vasas), Zsombor Ekler (from Honved), and Daniel Korom (from UVSE) are arriving in Zuglo.
As for those leaving, Tamas Gyarfas, Csaba Meszaros, Akos Horvath, and Zsolt Gyorke will continue their careers elsewhere, while Balogh Botond will continue his studies in the United States (Stanford University).
The women's section has also made strategic moves, securing two major signings from rivals FTC. Talented center-forward Dalma Domsodi and Panna Pocze will add quality to Mercedes Stieber’s squad.
Several key players from the women's team are moving on. Zsofia Polak, Rebeka Toth, and Lili Urvari will continue their careers elsewhere, while Emese Batizi is heading to Princeton University in the United States. Additionally, Vanda Doroszlai and Patricia Jancso have decided to retire.Â
