One of the best collegiate players in the United States is joining the current NCAA champions.
Brazilian international Bia Mantellato Dias has committed o join UCLA for the upcoming season starting in January 2025. Bia has earned significant accolades, including being named the Big West Player of the Year for two consecutive seasons during her time at the University of Hawai'i. Her impressive performances also made her a finalist for this year's prestigious Peter J. Cutino Award, which recognizes the top player in NCAA water polo.

Prior to arriving in the USA, Mantellato Dias played for Club Paineiras and Esporte Clube Pinheiros in Brazil. She has also been a vital player for the Brazilian National Team, participating in major international tournaments such as the FINA World Championships and the Pan American Games, where she helped Brazil secure a silver medal in 2019.
Bia's transfer to UCLA is expected to bolster the Bruins' lineup significantly, adding a proven scorer and a formidable presence in the center position.
