Alimos is bolstering its squad for next season in hopes of closing the gap on the top Greek women's teams.
Two Olympiacos Greek internationals, Ioanna Stamatopoulou and Ioanna Chydirioti (pictured), will join Alimos next season.
Stamatopoulou has been a regular for Olympiacos for over a decade, winning the Greek title every season she played and clinching three Champions League titles in that time. More recently, the 25-year-old has been favored as the leading goalkeeper of the Greek national team, securing medals at the 2022 and 2024 European Championships.
Chydirioti, 27, developed at Vouliagmeni before transferring to Olympiacos in 2022. Alongside Stamatopoulou, she has earned two medals in two years with the Greek national team.
Both players hope to become Olympians in Paris later this summer.
Alimos's transfer business is not limited to Greek stars. The club has also secured the services of Slovakian-born Hungarian international Natasa Rybanska, who is looking to rejuvinate her career in Greece.
