FTC women's team has announced the signing of four new players, headlined by Greek international Eleftheria Plevritou, who joins from Olympiacos.
Alongside Plevritou, FTC has signed Hungarian-born French international Orsolya Hertzka, as well as two talented junior internationals: Flora Fekete from BVSC, and Dutch player Noa de Vries. Fekete, an U20 World Champion in 2023, and De Vries, who previously played in Hungary with Szentes in 2021, add significant promise to the team.
Ferencvaros also welcomed their new women's head coach Mark Matajsz to the club at their official press conference.
Eleftheria Plevritou is by far the most established player joining FTC. The Hungarian league will be bolstered by the 27-year-old, a three-time Champions League winner with Olympiacos, with whom she also won 10 national championships.
Meanwhile, Orsolya Hertzka, a former Hungarian champion with UVSE, returns from Lille in France. Before Lille, Hertzka, 25, played with Long Beach, BVSC and UVSE.
The two young talents joining Fradi are top-tier: Flora Fekete, 19, has been one of BVSC's standout players over the past few seasons. Noa De Vries, a year older at 20, played one season with Szentes (2021-22) and also represented Het Ravijn in the Netherlands.
Fradi women are still searching for their first national title; they won the Hungarian Cup in 2022.
