Dinamo Tbilisi has bolstered their coaching staff ahead of the new Champions League season by appointing Greek coach Athanasios Kechagias as their new head coach.
Kechagias, who previously spent a season with Germany’s Spandau 04 Berlin before leaving the club in 2023, brings a wealth of experience to the Georgian side. His coaching résumé includes stints with Egyptian club Gezira, Greek teams Nireas Chalandriou and Ionikos, as well as leading the Greek youth and senior national teams. Additionally, he has coached the women’s national teams of Romania and Australia.
Dinamo Tbilisi will begin their Champions League campaign this Tuesday with a challenging opener, hosting the reigning champions, FTC Telekom. The match promises to be an exciting start to the season as Dinamo looks to make an impression in front of their home crowd.
