Mladost has parted ways with head coach Damir Vincek after less than a year in charge. The decision follows a tough stretch, including a heavy 17:12 loss to Radnicki in the Premier League last Saturday and a narrow defeat to Szolnok in the Euro Cup just two days earlier, where they fell 18:17 in a penalty shootout.
For a team packed with big names and Olympic talent—like Josip Vrlic, Andrija Basic, Konstantin Harkov, and others—the results so far have been underwhelming. Mladost invested a lot over the summer to build this squad, including experienced veterans like Ivan Marcelic and Ivan Buljubasic, but the performances haven’t matched expectations.
With a crucial Euro Cup clash against Pro Recco coming up, the team will be temporarily led by assistant coach Hrvoje Hrestak, while the club searches for Vincek’s replacement.
