Eva Doudesis, head coach of the Netherlands women’s national team, continues to solidify his reputation as one of the best coaches in water polo.
The former Greek international began his coaching journey with the Polar Bears in Ede, where he transformed the women’s team from last place in the Eredivisie to league champions in 2018. His success in club water polo led to his appointment as assistant coach of the Netherlands women’s national team and its junior squads in 2017.
After taking the helm of the senior team following the Tokyo Olympics, Doudesis has guided the Netherlands to new heights. This year, the Dutch women claimed a historic gold medal at the European Championships in Eindhoven and followed it up with an impressive bronze at the Paris Olympics, marking another landmark season for Dutch water polo under his leadership.
